We're Ankita (B.Tech Chemical) and Akanksha (B.Tech Electrical), IIT Roorkee alumni and the co-founders of deSal.
After moving to Bangalore from Roorkee, our hair and skin suffered a lot due to Banaglore's hard water. As frequent travelers, we experienced firsthand how water quality affects hair and skin health. From the hard water in metropolitan cities to the chlorinated pools and saline beach water, although the damage was different, but the source was constant - Water. Even after trying multiple solutions, nothing really worked for us. We realised that we can't solve a chemical problem with a plumbing solution! That's when we decided to put that Chemical Engineering degree to some use and build deSal - A solution that solves this problem not just for us, but for many others like us.
